Chelsea confirm the transfer of the team Mendy broken finger surgery.
English Premier League side Chelsea have confirmed that goalkeeper Edouard Mendy will undergo surgery for a broken finger. And it’s not clear how long it will take to rest.
The 30-year-old has not play in goal for Chelsea since their 1-0 Premier League. Defeat at Newcastle on 12 November last year.
“Edouard Mendy, our goalkeeper. undergoing surgery for a broken finger. He was injured in training this week,” said a Chelsea statement.
“The 30-year-old keeper will work closely with the club’s medical team. for his recovery process.”
Mendy has made 11 appearances for the Blues. This season in all competitions, conceding 15 goals and keeping one clean sheet.

After signing contract Mendy. Who also plays for the Senegal international, said: “I am very excited to be working with Chelsea. It was a dream for me to part of this exciting team. and worked with manager Frank Lampard and all of his coaching staff. I look forward to meeting my teammates. And can’t wait to get started with the team.”
For Edouard Mendy, currently 28 years old, most of his career is in Ligue 1. He was with Rennes, Reims and Olympique Marseille B, playing 34 games for Rennes, conceding 32 goals, but keeping 13 clean sheets and playing an important role in helping Rennes finished 3rd in the table last season.
