Kane revealed that he did not want to focus on breaking the record. For the all-time top scorer, even though Spurs were at full height.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has revealed. He wants to focus on the club’s performance for now. Although he aimed to smash the record for the club’s all-time top scorer

The 29-year-old striker score the winner in Spurs’ FA Cup third-round 1-0 win over League One side Portsmouth on Saturday night.

That means Kane has now scored 265 goals for Tottenham in all competitions, just one behind club legend Jimmy Greaves (266).

“I try not to think about it. Sometimes it can make you think too much,” Kane said after the game.

“Obviously I feel in good shape and fit. My idea now is Helping the team and hopefully scoring goals.”

Spurs next face a North London derby at home against Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday, January 15.

Harry Kane said:  “ I am delighted to be appointed as an AIA Ambassador. I believe in the value of continuing a healthy lifestyle. And I feel it’s important to use my position to encourage people to take care of their mental health. I look forward to working closely with AIA and supporting AIA’s commitment to promoting the health of people in communities across Asia.”
